The Artist

Ohio native Angela Ramos grew up in a small town near Lake Erie. In a family built house on two acres where the adventures in the creek and up the hill were endless. As a child, she always marched to the beat of her own drum. Whether it be her fashion, decor or art it had "Ang" all over it!

The small-town girl had chickens, goats, a rabbit and dogs. She ran track, played summer softball and loved to play her cornet in the band. She painted "I Love Band" on her instrument case! This tomboy in a dress would tackle the biggest kid on the football team and decided to join the boys wrestling team her Senior year of high school. She was nicknamed Angie "The Crusher" Ramos, remember beat and drum? She took that beat to band president and Senior in Girl Scouts.

She then started her traveling adventures from Ohio to Florida, Maryland, Alabama, Virginia and DC, back to Florida then Los Angeles, New York City and finally back to Florida. She wore many hats along the way and some of her favorites were Coin Cutter at Disney, Preschool teacher, correspondent for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", reporter on "Fox 5 News", Art & Entertainment Director, co-owner of localARTicles Boutique and of course an Artist!

Angela started cutting coins in the early 90's and has taken her art to another level by creating her own designs into the coins. She has created custom coins for celebrities such as NSYNC, John Schneider, and Jay Leno.

Angela has always wanted to be a painter since she was a little girl! The inspiration of having free range chickens and her love of making people laugh brought these colorful folk art chickens to life. “I love painting my chickens, they make me laugh!”

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
